Salt Lake
City, Utah - June 14, 2008: It was a warm clear day in Salt Lake City at Rocky
Mountain Raceway this past Saturday for Funny Car Fever III.
Eight Nitro Funny Cars rolled in the gates Saturday to ready
their rides for the first round of Chicago Style competition
later in the early evening. With temps in the mid 90s and the
track temperature as high as 140 degrees in the early afternoon
it looked like it was going to be tough for the Funny Cars to
negotiate the track in the first round. Nothing could be further
from the truth. Ron Craft and the Rocky Mountain Raceway staff
provided a great racing surface for the Funny Cars and they did
not disappoint the crowd of well over 8500 spectators that came
to see them battle for the Funny Car Fever III Crown.
