Nitro Thunder III
aka "Big Red III"

The vote tally is in and the traditional red won out over the interesting silver (bare body).

Like all the other Nitro Thunder cars, the paint will be applied by Brett Harris in one of the massive paint booths at Harris Auto Body.

 

Steve Merrill helps prep the chassis so Brett can get to work on it.

 

 

After a coat of primer, Brett applies the fuel proof red paint the the part of the chassis not covered by the body.

 

 

As usual, Kaden is not far from Dad and hamming it up for the camera.

Jack looks over the finished product.

 

 

With the chassis out of the way, Brett starts in on the body.

 

 

 

The nose piece is next to get the red.

 

 

 

 

Yep, its for sure RED!

 

 

Of couse the injector had has to be red as well.

 

 

Celia takes her turn in the booth to check out her sons work.

 

A new touch on this car will be flames on the cowl. This is how they started out.

The newest addition to the Harris family "stable" of horsepower is Sierra Thunder. This handsome colt was born while the car was being painted.... no, the horse won't be red too!
